About Us

Women’s View Midwifery serves women and families in Vermont, New York, and surrounding areas.  Our practice consists of two board certified nurse midwives who focus on individualized patient care.  Our mission is to promote the health and wellbeing of women and newborns within their families and communities through the development and support of the profession of midwifery.

We honor the normalcy of women's lifecycle events.  We believe in watchful waiting and non-intervention in normal processes.  We will utilize appropriate interventions and technology for current or potential health problems.

We work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team as needed for consultations to provide optimal health care.  Our providers have admission privileges at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont for your labor and delivery.  Ancillary services such as routine lab work and ultrasounds can be performed at the facility of your preference.  Acute or urgent care needs are managed through SVMC.

Office visits consist of a schedule of routing prenatal visits as well as urgent visits if the need should arise. The guideline for routine prenatal visits is as follows:  Every 4 weeks for the first 28 weeks of pregnancy, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks and then weekly visits beginning at 36 weeks gestation.  Your family members are welcome to come with you to your visits.

Appointments are made during our office hours, Monday through Friday - 9am until 4pm.  We ask that if you are unable to keep an appointment to please call to cancel/reschedule. Please confirm we have your current phone number on file at each visit to ensure we are able to reach you.

We look forward to working together with you to provide a positive healthcare experience.
